Darren holds Clear Air Zone Forum
Ahead of the important council votes at the end of February, Darren hosted an online forum to gather feedback and share information about Bristol’s incoming Clean Air Zone (CAZ) in the city centre. Following the forum, Darren wrote to Bristol’s Mayor, Marvin Reese, with a summary of the points raised. You can view this below.
The Clean Air Zone has been proposed as a way of making Bristol compliant with central Government regulations about pollutant levels in the city. Should the proposal be successful, the CAZ will be implemented on October 29th 2021.
Darren hosted an online Zoom dedicated to gathering feedback about the CAZ with key points being highlighted by the Bridge Valley turn-off on the Portway. While constituents are supportive of attempts to make the city healthier and greener, concerns were raised about possible knock-on effects caused by drivers attempting to avoid any Zone D charges.
