Darren writes to Brexit Secretary to protect Airbus jobs in Bristol

Airbus announced that they would leave the UK if trade negotiations with the EU over Brexit fail to deliver single market equivalence.

Darren wrote to the Brexit Secretary to tell David Davis that he is putting thousands of jobs in Bristol at risk if he fails to reach a trade deal with the EU.

Darren wrote:

If we leave the EU without a sufficient trading relationship, my constituency will lose businesses and investment and many, many people could lose their jobs. I am therefore asking that the Government reconsiders its negotiating strategy to stop the Prime Minister’s “no deal is better than a bad deal” approach, which was firmly rejected by the British people on June 8th, and to reconsider its position on membership of the Single Market.
