Confidence in policing has declined in recent years. Community policing has been diminished, with neighbourhood officers pulled off the beat to plug shortages elsewhere, weakening connections with communities they serve.
That’s why in this government’s Plan for Change, we’re putting police back on the beat, with a named officer for every neighbourhood, and 13,000 additional officers, PCSOs and special constables in neighbourhood roles in England and Wales.
As part of a special series of town hall events that I'm running this year, my constituents are invited to come and share with me their support, questions or concerns about the work that my Cabinet colleagues and I are doing to deliver on this milestone in our promise of change.
[The guest speaker will be announced soon.]
Important:
This event is only for people who live in my Bristol North West constituency. If you are not a constituent, your ticket will be cancelled. (You can check if your address is in my constituency here.)
For security reasons, the venue details will only be shared with attendees 24 hours before the event. The venue will be in Shirehampton.
The venue is wheelchair accessible.
